Qualification of the welding process

Through Qualification of the welding process is meant the ability to meet the design requirements and control of mechanical properties depending on the type of base material, filler material and welding process utilizzato.Le reference standards for this activity are those of the serie UNI EN 288:

- UNI EN 288-1:1993 + A1: 1999Specificazione and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials. General rules for fusion welding.

- UNI EN 288-2:1993 + A1: 1999Specificazione and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials. Specification of welding procedure for arc welding.

- UNI EN 288-3:1993 + A1: 1999Specificazione and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials. Testing of welding procedures for arc welding of steels.

- UNI EN 288-4:1993 + A1: 1999Specificazione and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials. Testing of welding procedures for arc welding of aluminum and its alloys.

- UNI EN 288-5:1996 Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials. Qualification by the use of welding filler materials approved for arc welding.

- UNI EN 288-6:1996 Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials. Qualifications on the basis of experience.

- UNI EN 288-7:1997 Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials. Qualification of welding procedures using unified arc welding.

- UNI EN 288-8:1997 Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials. Qualification by testing pre-production welding.

- UNI EN 288-9:2001 Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials - Proof of qualification of welding procedures for butt-welding of pipes on land and at sea.
