This lesson is an introduction on safety in welding and provides a brief description of the protective mask.
The arc welding (or welding stick electrode) is divided into different processes. We will address them one by one, but before starting it, I discuss the security aspects that are important for the welder. Protective equipment that you wear when you weld is as follows:
First, you need a protective mask of good quality. This shield serves to protect your eyes from the light extremely intense arc power and help protect you from sparks and projections that are expelled from the weld and slag is removed once the welding is complete.
Central to this, there is a tinted filter inside the visor. It is a piece of tempered glass is available in different colors. It is used to filter the light to a level where you are able to see what happens without being dazzled. The filters are beginning to shade 9 and can go up 13 and 14. Everyone has different eyes then you'll need to choose the appropriate filter for your eyes. The filter is protected by a transparent plate which prevents the projections from sticking to the glass plate.
Also in this model mask, visor is working. Here, inside there is a Lexan plastic that allows you to peel your welding with protection against the burning pieces of metal. It is also a good idea to wear safety glasses under the welding mask, and they should be closed on the sides to prevent the projections enter below the mask and go into your eyes.
